Owner: Gayle Harris
Gayle and her husband, Ron, have owned Books and Crannies for 13 years. Gayle is in the store on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 10 to 6, and on Saturdays. Her favorite authors are J.R. Ward and Shirley Rousseau Murphy, followed by Dean Koontz, Brian Jacques, Richard Bach, Michael Connelley, and John Dunning.
Ruth
Ruth began working for Ron and Gayle shortly after they opened Books & Crannies. Ruth and her husband, Michael raise Haflingers on their place outside Terrell. She is available on Wednesdays and Fridays to help you find what you want to read. Ruth has a memory that is nothing short of awesome, and her memory banks are filled with information about authors and books! Among her favorite books are Paranormal Romance, General Romance, Suspense and Urban Fantasy - let her help you select new authors and discuss authors and books with you!
Brenda
Brenda is very new to Books and Crannies, but she is enjoying the opportunity to meet people and help them locate what they need. Brenda is a retired school teacher, and very knowledgeable about books of many genres. Stop in and meet Brenda soon - she is available on Thursdays.
Maddie
Maddie is the love of the bookstore! She has the customers, and most especially “our mailman”, Jonathan, wrapped around her little paw! Maddie is in the store every day to keep an eye on us and visit with our customers! She agrees with Gayle - Shirley Rousseau Murphy is the best - and she has admitted to me that she has a bit of a kitty-crush on that fabulous feline, Joe Grey! If you are feeling down, a visit with Maddie will perk up your spirits. She is glad to help!
